Scope

This policy covers the HexKey web app at beta.hexkey.app. The desktop client and marketing site at hexkey.app have their own policies; the desktop client runs entirely on your machine and doesn’t transmit personal data.

Anonymous use

You can use most of HexKey — the database, patch notes, comps, mechanics — without signing in. We assign your browser a random identifier (stored in localStorage as hexkey-anon-id) so we can count one-time events such as starting the ascension tour. This identifier isn’t tied to your name or email and isn’t sold or shared.

When you sign in

Signing in (via Supabase) creates a profile with your email and a display name. If you link a Riot account, we additionally store your PUUID, region, and Riot ID so we can show your matches, current game, and linked stats.

Signed-in actions HexKey records: ascension-tour progress, opted-in feedback, and aggregate usage counters needed to render your dashboard.

Riot data

Live game and recent-match data are fetched from Riot’s public APIs through our server. We cache responses briefly to stay within Riot’s rate limits; we don’t redistribute or sell this data.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic patterns. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track individual users across sites.

Deleting your data

Email contact@hexkey.app and we’ll delete your profile and any linked Riot identifiers. You can also clear your browser storage to remove the anonymous identifier described above.
